In order to support the eco-responsible transition of tourism and event professionals (Axis 1 – Action Sheet 1 of the roadmap), the Bordeaux Tourism and Congress has organized several exchanges between professionals to discuss the responsible practices implemented within each structure.
Back on these last 2 highlights :
- February 8, 2024 : On the morning of the event, 45 tourism professionals met at La Cité du Vin to exchange ideas and highlight a wide range of responsible practices relating to the 3 pillars of sustainable development: economic (responsible purchasing policies, longevity of stays in Bordeaux), environmental (how to preserve local biodiversity and reduce carbon footprint) and social (solidarity/poverty, accessibility). On the afternoon of the same day, the participants were able to meet a number of local solutions from the area, enabling them to exchange ideas with a view to working together in the future. The day ended with a visit to La Cité du Vin or the Hôtel Vatel, depending on the choice of each participant.
- January 17, 2024: At the Verde Nero café, 13 participants from Bordeaux’s public events sector were able to share the initiatives they have set up to promote local and responsible food. Bordeaux Tourism and Congress and the participants have already begun to identify the subject of the next meeting: raising customer awareness of responsible consumption during events.
